MEMORIAL TO UNBORN

A battle fought by the Knights of Columbus is one to gain respect for all life. Council 4083 constructed a monument in memory of the children who have lost their lives through the practice of abortion. The monument is located between Holy Spirit Church and the parish office. It was dedicated on Mother's Day, May 9, 1999. Rev. Jerry Deasy performed the ceremony at noon on Sunday. The parishioners and the Knights of Columbus Honor Guard were present for the ceremony. Please remember in your prayers the children who have lost their lives through the act of abortion and pray for the end of this practice. Members of Assembly 2527 Honor Guard were (left) Mike Hamner, Jim Stakem, Kevin Young, Bob Tucker, Ray Rumanek, Ted Kapera; (right) Fred Wenth, Tony Schmitz, Frank Brennen, Miles Bullock, Ken Stewart, Harry Renfroe.

Since its dedication, the Honor Guard has been joined by Brother Knights and parishioners on Mother's Day each year, for a prayer service at the Memorial to Unborn. There they remember the children who have lost their lives through the act of abortion, and join in prayer for a change of heart and mind of all to choose life and end of the practice of abortion.
